Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the garden....
More warnings of the approaching Gnombie (Zombie Garden Gnome) Apocalypse!

This is a piece that has been printed for the Freakwerx Bookmark Swap. I had to drive to Warroad yesterday to pick up laminating sheets to finish them later today after I get home from work.this afternoon.

I didn't have meetings or clients yesterday so I took the day off. The lull this week has been ever so lovely! I'm waiting for the last of the RR journals to arrive and there are a couple of swaps in Freakwerx that I want to do something for, but it's nice to have time for art and reading and just plain old down time. Still the days are never long enough for all I want to do in a day. :-) It just takes me longer to do everything.

I need to get the house shaped up! My friend Dawn Marie is driving from Regina SK to our house for the weekend of August 11. It has been way too long since I've seen her! My MoonSis! There will be art and wine and cooking that weekend!! I adore her so! Hopefully her daughter Victoria will be able to come along as well. One of my very favorite young people ever!

Yesterday my friend Dale messaged me on Facebook asking me when we were going to have an Art Date? When I met Dale in 98, while working my first post grad job, he was a county social worker with whom I wored collaboratively. We shared a bunch of kids/families in our jobs. I adore him! We spent many evenings drinking wine on his patio, talking into the wee hours, going out for dinner and drinks in his flashy red sports car. What fun we had! Every woman needs a gorgeous gay friend! Tom loves him too! When I got the job up here and left Thief River Falls one of the things I missed most was Dale. He went on to change careers from social worker to Special Education teacher, and has taken a job up here about 45 miles away. He wants to come for the day/evening sometime the end of July or in August. I can't wait to see him, it's been years since a face to face occurred.

Today all I have on the agenda is lunch/consult with Dr. D. in Roseau, and finishing the bookmarks. I'll have to do some paperwork over the weekend sometime, but there's very little to do for this week. So lovely to be caught up!

I look forward to spending time reading journals and blogs this weekend and maybe actually commenting!

LIFE IS GOOD!
