Our Lady of Perpetual Procrastination

I've been swamped with work and other time conumers.

My caseload has increased beyond my imagination! I got 3 new referrals last week on top of an already full caseload. I'd thought to give one of the referrals to one of my 2 colleagues, but they are both already full too, in the other county that our agency serves. I've been seeing clients from morning past dinner time most days. I've been running on empty. Friday I didn't see clients but was up early doing the paperwork that goes along with consulting with Dr. D. and LSS staff before leaving at 10 to drive to Roseau for consult 11 to 1:00. I bought groceries for the week on the way home. There were still phone calls to make after I caught a nap.

Saturday the day was eaten up by church duties, meetings, and a benefit that Tom and I had to attend in the evening.

I did not go to church yesterday. I stayed home and had an "art retreat" at the kitchen table where I made the self portrait that's due for a swap of self portraits in the Freakwerx group. I also worked on a spread in one of the "dark art" journals for the circle of 7 women round robin. We're having such fun! That took most of the day. I managed to fit in a bit of cooking and took time to watch Game of Thrones last night on HBO.

Tom came home from church with something one of the women from church left for me, a one legged naked Mark Wahlberg doll. ha! Also left for me on the front porch on Saturday, was what I was told was a 50ft roll of rusty vintage barbed wire (probably at least 50 years old) that a friend who works for the MN DNR tripped over when checking on trees in one of the state forests. She thought of me, rolled it up and left it on my porch. She has the scratched up arms to prove it, now that's true friendship! LOL

Last night I called the client I was to meet with at 8:30 this morning to see if she still wanted to meet. Thankfully she needed to reschedule to later in the week so I could grab some time to blog a little bit.

Today is a full day so I'd best get off the computer and go slap some paint down on the next spread in the journal. It's the end of the month so there will be extra paperwork to do on top of what all I've fallen behind on.

LIFE IS GOOD!

Sorry to take so long to reply to your comment! Work has been insane!(Perhaps somewhat ironic considering that I am a mental health provider. I think that as the families I do in-home family counseling improve, I get crazier! Well, at least the work load does!)
